What did it cost you?
That thing you wanted?
That lifestyle you idolized?
That relationship you craved so bad?
That validation you thought you needed?
That social status that made you feel liked and loved?
That encouragement/recognition you sought in an unhealthy way?
What did it cost you?
That house?
That car?
That office?
That natural wealth?
That last name?
That accomplishment?
That invitation?
What did it cost you?
What did you sacrifice in the pursuit of that want?
Your peace?
Your joy?
Your health?
Your security?
Your safety?
Your self-esteem?
Your morals?
Your faith?
Your integrity?
Your sense of what’s real?
What reality did you create for yourself to justify that want?
A forced smile?
A pat on the back?
A captivating picture?
A momentary satisfaction?
There is a price to pay for what you want.
Examine your desires closely.
What are they based on?
Are they rooted in comparison?
Are they attached to traumatic experiences from your past?
Are they founded from a sense of lack and/or a poverty mindset?
Are they born from emotional bruises that never quite healed properly?
Are they molded from a desire to detach and escape from a current reality?
Take a moment and think about it.
It may define (or redefine) how you move forward…
Why do you want the things that you want?
And what will it cost you…
That you haven’t already paid?
